NEW YORK, NY (April 7, 2026) – One Times Square - the home of the iconic New Year’s Eve Ball - today launched its Times Square Skywalk Experience offering a new opportunity to take in expansive, one-of-a-kind views in the heart of Times Square.
The Times Square Skywalk Experience allows guests to take in the Crossroads of the World from an elevated perspective on a 360-degree wraparound viewing deck, offering a unique river-to-river vantage point of the Manhattan street grid, Manhattanhenge sunsets (starting in late May), and city skyline, along with a glass walkway 19 floors above the Times Square plazas.
Now open, the new Times Square Skywalk Experience also gives guests access to iconic elements from the New Year’s Eve Celebration in Times Square, including:
Centennial Ball: Guests will get up close with the Centennial Ball – the historic New Year’s Eve Ball that rang in the 100th anniversary of the Times Square Ball Drop tradition in 2007 and featured LED lighting technology for the first time, increasing the brightness and color capabilities of the Ball.
The first New Year’s Eve Ball dropped in 1907 and has been lowered every year since, with the exceptions of 1942 and 1943, when the ceremony was suspended due to the World War II “dimout” of lights in New York City. Constructed of wood and iron, the first Ball measured 5 feet in diameter, weighed 700 pounds, and contained 100 25-watt bulbs.
New Year’s Eve Numerals and Countdown Podium: The giant, seven-foot-tall numerals that mark the New Year and the signature podium where the New Year’s Eve countdown kicks off will also be on display, giving guests unique photo opportunities and a chance to engage with New Year’s Eve history.
Confetti Wishing Wall: In addition, guests can add wishes to the Confetti Wishing Wall, where they will be able to write their wishes for the year ahead on a piece of confetti that will drop in Times Square during next year’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
“The Times Square Skywalk allows visitors to experience the magic and excitement of Times Square from a new vantage point,” said Delfin Ortiz, General Manager of One Times Square. “We’re thrilled to share this elevated perspective of the Crossroads of the World and give visitors the chance to connect with the history, joy, and wonder of the New Year’s Eve celebration year-round.”
Tickets to the new Times Square Skywalk Experience are now available for purchase at https://onetimessquare.com, including a special, discounted ticket offer for New York City residents.
The Times Square Skywalk Experience builds on the preview Viewing Deck Experience, which launched in December 2025. The building is also home to i Candy NYC, a multi-level, multi-sensory attraction that takes guests on a sweet adventure through New York City.
New experiential attractions coming to One Times Square will be announced in the coming months as the building becomes a year-round destination for visitors. For more information about the Times Square Skywalk Experience and other experiences at One Times Square, visit OneTimesSquare.com.
